Program Evaluator
In contrast to an action-research model of evaluation research, an agency may opt to hire an external program evaluator. A program evaluator takes responsibility for designing an evaluation process to be implemented by the agency. Typically this includes:
Clarifying the objectives of the program
Devising suitable indicators
Creating a data collection and information management process
Providing the agency with feedback
Assistance in interpreting the information
Providing written reports and summaries as needed
This service is provided on a contract basis for a fixed period of time. The procedures, methods and processes are custom developed in cooperation with the agency to meet a specific need.
Dr. Renner will meet with the agency to learn about the specific needs for evaluation. He will make a formal proposal outlining the methods, costs and mutual responsibilities which will enable the agency to make a final decision about whether to accept the proposal.
